Curva da Jurema’s Renewal Boosts Real Estate and Infrastructure Growth

Curva da Jurema Beach — one of the iconic postcards of Vitória — is a favorite among the people of Espírito Santo. Known for its calm waters, beachfront kiosks, wide promenade, and dedicated bike path, the area has become a top destination for outdoor enthusiasts, offering water and sand sports like Hawaiian canoeing, beach tennis, stand-up paddleboarding, and swimming.

The area’s popularity continues to grow, and it is currently undergoing a revitalization that includes the addition of modern kiosks, beach bars, cafés, and seafood restaurants. Enhanced security is also part of the project, with a new base for the 3rd Company of the 1st Military Police Battalion (BPM) established nearby.

The revitalization project aims to transform Curva da Jurema into a vibrant gastronomic and leisure hub, attracting not only sports enthusiasts but the broader Espírito Santo community.

Urban mobility is a key focus. Improvements include upgrades to the bike path, expansion and resurfacing of the promenade, the installation of bicycle parking racks, and the remodeling of parking areas—now featuring dedicated spaces for taxis, the elderly, people with disabilities, and loading/unloading zones—all making the area increasingly accessible to visitors.

The project also includes the creation of new green spaces, the installation of modern street furniture, and new access points to the promenade, making the area even more tree-lined and family-friendly.
The surroundings of Reserva Vitória are already breathtaking, and the ongoing revitalization will make them even more inviting. “Without a doubt, a new space is emerging where residents and visitors can enjoy spectacular views of Boi and Frade Islands, Praia do Canto, and Convento da Penha. It’s a place for socializing and embracing healthy habits,” says Breno Peixoto.

With the full renovation of Curva da Jurema on the horizon, the area is poised for a new chapter. “Curva da Jurema is an urban beach with a privileged location and outstanding landscape features. We are already in the bidding phase for the renovation works, aligned with our city’s vision of transforming key areas of Vitória into gastronomic and cultural hubs — just like Rua da Lama, Rua Sete, and Rua Gama Rosa,” explains Vitória’s mayor, Lorenzo Pazolini.

Adding to this transformation, the Vitória Reserve Complex is being developed in the area. The project’s first phase, the Reserva Vitória Cultural Park, has already completed its construction in stages. This public space, privately maintained, connects Ilha do Frade to Shopping Vitória’s promenades.
“The park spans 16,000 square meters, featuring a tree-lined plaza, street furniture, playgrounds, gym equipment, and open-air artworks by renowned artists such as Espírito Santo’s own Sandro Novaes, alongside Antônio Bokel, Adrianna Eu, José Spaniol, Thainan Castro, and José Bechara,” highlights Breno Peixoto, CEO of Nazca.
